She was planning an October wedding and because of a scheduling conflict, J suggested October 30th as a potential wedding date. And then he suggested the possibility of doing a Halloween themed wedding. Which sounded kind of crazy and ridiculous but completely amazing at the same time. And the wheels in my head started turning. Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and as luck would have it, it’s Laurin’s as well. And this is how a wedding theme perfectly suited to both Laurin and Brett was born.
I’ve been anticipating this blog post for some time now. Pretty much ever since Laurin contacted me to let me know he had finally proposed! I love seeing someone choose a wedding theme or concept they love and just run with it. And not only did Laurin and Brett design a Halloween themed wedding, they threw a costume party after their reception. Because that’s just Laurin and Brett. And they made their wedding truly representative of their fun personalities. And I couldn’t resist hanging out after hours to see all the costumes.
Laurin and Brett, I’m so proud to not only call you clients, but friends and now neighbors as well! Your wedding was just as exciting and unique as the two of you and I’m so happy that I was able to be a part of it. And really, I’m even happier that if I ever need to borrow a cup of sugar, you guys will have my back (:
Note: This will be an extra long post due to the plethora of awesome Halloween details I couldn’t resist sharing with the blog world.

Gotta love Laurin’s festive Tom’s.

Bringing the fish eye back. As per Brett’s request (:

I loved the detail on Laurin’s bouquet!
I don’t customarily post wedding party images, but I just couldn’t resist these next two.
Brett and his guys donned purple Vans. Amazing.

Laurin, you’re too gorgeous for your own good!
J captured these next two images. And I love them.

This is my new favorite. Laurin, this one is canvas worthy. And I’m happy to help you figure out where to hang it in your new place!

I love the last bit of sun at the end of the day. Laurin and Brett make it look even better.

Prepare for detail overload. Laurin and her family did an amazing job designing everything. Just wait till you see the Viceroy inspired wall design.
Isn’t this wall just incredible? Totally DIY and totally amazing.

This was by far one of my favorite details!

I just love Halloween. As if y’all didn’t already know.

Anything having to do with Jack Skellington is fabulous in my book.

I’ll end with 2 of my favorite ring shots. I just couldn’t decide which one I liked better.

What a great wedding! I LOVE all of the halloween details! I work with Brett and when he told me about his unique wedding I just HAD to see it for myself (being a fellow photographer). Great job!
