I think the thing I love the most about Chrissy (and I still love you too Kyle) is how much she trusts me. And not only does she trust me, she’s always been so enthusiastic about my images and the process by which I create them. One of the first things she told me when we first met was how much she loved my photography. I remember walking away from our first client meeting feeling so grateful not only for my “job”, but for the types of clients/people/friends I meet because of it. It felt so good to not feel like I had to prove myself but to feel appreciated.
Chrissy has not only become one of my biggest supporters, but a friend as well. I caught a mild cold last month and when Chrissy found out, she offered to come over and bring me chicken soup! And when I thanked her for being patient with me in getting images to her, she thanked me for working so hard and told me I have a “magnificent gift”.
I say these things not to brag or make Chrissy feel embarrassed, but just to illustrate how blessed I am to be able to photograph the most amazing brides on the planet. Oh and grooms too. Especially Kyle (:
Chrissy and Kyle, thank you for allowing me to capture your special day. It was soooo amazing being able to observe the love you two have for each other and for the world around you. Thank you for sharing that with me and for making me feel like the luckiest photographer in the world! Oh and Chrissy, next time I’m sick, I’ll call you for chicken soup just so I can hang out with you again.
Please note: because Chrissy and Kyle are so fabulous, this wedding post is going to be a tad bit longer than usual. I’m sure Chrissy and Kyle won’t mind.

Love this image by J

Yes. Chrissy and Kyle are this romantic pretty much all the time. And I love it!

I’m REALLY in love with this image. Don’t know why. As I always tell J, “there’s just a mood about it”.

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the San Diego Temple and there were so many amazing places to shoot. You’ll see a few more that we made use of later on in this post.

Like this one. It was a trek climbing down a big hill for this one and I was singing “Climb Every Mountain” on the way back up the hill. What can I say, I heart the Von Trapps.

I take zero credit for this idea. Because this one was all J. Is he a genius or what? Total website material.

Here’s the view from the top of the hill we climbed up. As you can see, Chrissy and Kyle really liked my singing (:

Yes. I’m in love with this one too. Chrissy and Kyle are so hot right now.

Not only are these two head over heels in love, they always crack each other up. And I’m in love with their laughter.

I don’t usually post very many bridal party images on the blog because I don’t consider it my specialty, but I had to show you this one because it’s awesome. There’s so much going on. And those are Chrissy’s arms on the left.

My favorite details from their luncheon at the Marine Room in San Diego. Oh and fyi, this dessert was to die for.

One of my favorite ring shots to date.

And here’s another one. Because I can (:

This adorable little girl was in charge of holding Chrissy’s bouquet at the reception and she kindly let me steal it for a few minutes. But I ended up liking this shot the best.

Technically speaking, this image has a bad grade written all over it. Artistically speaking, I like it.

I’ve found that very often, the father daughter dance is one of the most emotional moments of a wedding day. I had to share this moment with you.

The mother son dance was the same way. Debi- you look radiant!

I usually don’t post images of bouquet/garter tosses, but once again, Chrissy and Kyle’s wedding was not just your average. One of the 3 friends who helped Chrissy get ready, also caught the bouquet. And her reaction is priceless. It reminds me of the phrase “Yesssssss” in Napoleon Dynamite. Pure awesome.

And then the garter. I saw this little guy checking out the cake earlier that evening and he kinda looked like he was up to something. Then he was the one who ended up catching the garter. And he was totally stoked. Love it.

Ashley and Jeffery Perez! I am blown away by some of those shots! Amazing doesn't even describe the full shot of the SD Temple with the bride and groom at the bottom, and the play by play shots of the bozque toss flawless and adorable! Truely incredible work!
