We all know wedding days can be crazy. Ask any vendor, anyone who has ever been part of a bridal party, any bride or groom, and any photographer. And when I say crazy I mean, crazy in terms of time. After all, a wedding day serves as one of the most important days in an individual's life and that's a lot of pressure for just one day!
Even before I decided to pursue photography, I always valued it tremendously. In fact, when J and I got engaged, the photographer was the first person I booked for our wedding. And not surprisingly, she did an amazing job! And because photography was (and is) so important to me, I allowed for plenty of time for portraits that day.
That said, sometimes it can be challenging to carve out a good chunk of time for bride and groom portraits, especially when family and group portraits always take precedence. Allow me to introduce the concept of a .day before. session. No, I didn't make it up and it's not new to the photography world or this blog for that matter. In fact, you may remember Erinn and Brant's day before session I posted earlier this year. But ever since that time, I've really become a believer.
Lizard and Brockstar (Liz and Brock to the rest of the world) chose to do a day before session during the week of their wedding. This allowed for J and I to not only stage a first look, but use several different locations, and capture some amazing moments. It also allowed for Lizard and Brockstar to relax and have fun without having to worry about about being so pressed for time.
So without further ado and more of my chatter, here are some of my favorite images from their session! Wedding day photos to follow as soon as I narrow down my favs. It hasn't been an easy task!

This is when I fell in love with the fish eye. It was my first time using it and it definitely won't be my last!

Don't you just adore her shoes? And not one blister at the end of the day. Ahh the magic of Seychelles. I'm a believer.
